Last week I managed to get my TGIFF post up...and that's about it.
I had hoped to finish the Brick Wall quilt; but had to redo a several rows once I realized I had made a couple of bricks too short and a few more too long. Talk about being annoyed. They're fixed now and I'm just waiting on feedback from the person I'm making it for before I baste and start quilting.
I'd also hoped to get my March do. Good Stitches blocks completed for Cheer Circle; but nope. Oh well, there's always this week, right? Right.
I still don't have many images I can share of all the quilts I'm working on. I can, however, share this shot of the lovely palette I'll be using for my upcoming January quilt blocks.
This palette is similar to the one I used for the 5 point Lone Star variation. The most obvious differences are that this palette has fewer neutrals and, while still heavy on the aqua/turquoise/teal, the addition of some truer blues.
I've also recently purchased some cross stitch supplies, including these yummy DC floss shades and adorable little box for my needles.
I'll be using these pretty colors when I stitch up this Pisces pattern from Satsuma Street. My hope is to finish all twelve signs at some point. Wish me luck...I tend to get sidetracked by other projects when I'm cross stitching. However, I have three trips scheduled between May and August; all at least nine hours in each direction, and two with lots of down time. Since I don't like to knit in the hotter months, I'm hoping I'll be able to make a dent in at least a couple of the signs.
This week's list:

Hello, and welcome to TGIFF!
This week I'm sharing one of my most recently completed quilts. This one is a 5 point Lone Star variation in shades of sea glass and complementary neutrals. Truth be told, I absolutely love it. I had a very hard time packaging it up and sending it off.
I'm currently working on five projects and designing another three. It's chaotic; but it's how I work. When I'm organized and working on one thing at a time, I lose all interest and inspiration. I wish I was one of those people who could focus on one quilt at a time; but my brain just doesn't do well without being able to jump from one project to another.
I finished quilting this beauty yesterday...but I can't show it to you. Well, I can't show you the front. but a little peek of the back won't hurt.
I've got a lot going on this week, so I'll keep it short & sweet and get straight to my to-do list. But first; check out some of the whimsical whirligigs I've been working on:
Can you believe we're already ten days into the new year? How did that happen???
So far this year I've completed a quilt top, tackled a tiny portion of the ever-growing mountain of scraps, and done some work on commissioned quilt. I can't really say more about this commission, except that I am seriously crushing on the palette and will definitely be using these colors again; hopefully soon. Earlier this week, I shared this image of the fabric on IG, but feel like I should share it here as well because I love it so much!
