This spring I've been struggling to get in as much sewing time as I'd like. Between my travel plans and other commitments, it's been difficult to get things done. Luckily, I'll be in town for the next month and have cleared my calendar as much as possible in an attempt to finish some things.
I did finish something. I finally got the ombre triangle quilt top done. (Don't look too closely, some of the points aren't exactly what I'd call perfect!) Now I just need to decide on backing and binding fabrics. I don't have anything on hand that I really WANT to use; I do have a couple of things that would work, but I'm kind of blah about them. Since I need to catch up on commissioned work, I think I'll hold off on that. Maybe something will catch my eye on the sale pages. Otherwise, it's that Windham wide back text print with all the color names.
FIFTY YEARS! Can you even imagine? Not having gotten married until the age of 36, and being married less than eight years myself, I can barely imagine a 20th anniversary, let alone a 50th. It's definitely a milestone worth celebrating, So when my sister reached out about having a quilt made for her in-laws big day, I was thrilled!
