I made this quilt on a whim because I just had to cut into those beautiful ombres as soon as I got my hands on them. Don't you just love the way the color gradations makes the quilt appear to be shimmering?
I backed it with a black-on-white text print which is a stark contrast to all that yummy ombre texture and saturated color on the front. For this same reason, I chose my favorite B&W stripe for the binding.
I quilted it with straight lines on either side of the diagonal and horizontal seams using 40 weight Aurifil Mako cotton thread in 2600 (Dove). This type of quilting, along with a low-loft 100% cotton batting, provides lots of yummy texture and a lovely drape. The quilt measures approximately 42" x 57".
I will be listing it for sale once I decide if I'm reopening my Etsy shop or adding a shop feature to this website. If you're interested in purchasing this quilt, please contact me for pricing information. Make sure to reference 'Equilateral Triangle Quilt' in your message.
